Oh no, I hate this question. I never have a satisfying response. But I’ll take a stab at it.
I listen to a lot of classic rock, alternative rock, indie rock, indie pop, classic folk and country music, the blues, old school rap, select modern rap and R&B, trip-hop, jazz, and whatever the fuck CocoRosie is.
Some of my absolute favorite artists (but in no way a comprehensive list) are: Queen, David Bowie, Violent Femmes, Johnny Cash, Death From Above 1979, The Flaming Lips, The White Stripes, The Presidents of the USA, Pixies, Nancy Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Lillian Green (Lil’ Green), Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse, St. Vincent, The XX, Justice, Tricky, Portishead, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, and A Tribe Called Quest.
